NEWS and UPDATES: Summit on Mount Everest !!!On May 19th 2013 at 7:00 AM (Nepal Time) we have reached the summit of Mt Everest at 8,850 meters after 12 hours of climbing. We waited 3 days at 8,000 meters due to strong winds and extremely low temperatures. The summit day was very nice, with relatively low winds and we had the opportunity the take beautiful pictures and videos.
We would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters for your contributions and words of encouragement during the expedition !! THANKS for following us !!! "Work hard to achieve your dreams, never quit, be patient but persevere, persevere and, step by step, you will reach the summits of your life" You can follow us on Facebook: Eco Everest - www.facebook.com/horaciosaleverest --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The project - Extreme Everest 8850 - Real Passion! April - May 2013
Mt Everest is the ultimate challenge after many years of successfully climbing big mountains around the world and an exciting opportunity to achieve a long term goal working in a team effort with our sponsors. It is a true test of the human spirit based on passion and motivation. The Sherpa people from Nepal are an invaluable part of this Extreme Everest 8850 Project and we are committed to help the Kunde Hospital. Being the only medical facility in the Solo Khumbu Region of Mt Everest it is critical to the people there. Also we will provide pc-comps, educational materials and books to the Khumjung School, in the Namche Bazaar region. With the help of 15 extra sherpas, we will bring back to Base Camp for proper recycling 400 lbs of garbage and 50 empty oxygen bottles from the high camps located near 8,000 meters. These materials have been abandoned high on the mountain years ago when environmental regulations were not strict as they are now. Your donations will help the people in Nepal, promoting healthier lives and access to a better education. Your contributions will also create environmental awareness in their own mountains and country. Thanks for your help!! Becoming a Sponsor:
